pConference FUToURISM: Integrated and Sustainable Development of Tourism Regions

pDepartment of Planning and Regional Development as partner of the EU project FUToURISM - "Integrated and Sustainable Development of Tourism Regions", has participated at the Transnational Conference organised by the Slovenieth partner on 30 to 1st of June in Murevske Toplice, in Slovenia. Dr Anagnostou Aggeliki from UTH representing the Greek participation, made a presentation of the 'National Marine Park of Alonnisos of Nortnern Sporades' which is the basic theme of the mini-project PARKoMOTION for which UTH is responsible.

pIn the" 18th European Anvanced Studies" of ERSA Summer Institutes organized by the Institute in Regional Studies in Lodz-Cracow, Poland in July 1st- 10st, 2005 has participated Mr Pavleas Sotiris. His participation was "The urban system of southeastern Europe: evolution, structure and hierarchy".
pJoint training seminars are realized in 6-10 July 2005 titled “Regional Integration and metropolitan development in SE Europe” in the context of RIMED INTERREG IIIB Cadses program (lead partner: University of Thessaly).
pIn the 45th Congress of the European Regional Association (ERSA) titled "Land Use and Water Managemene in a Sustainable Network Society" in Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in August 23-27, 2005 have participated Prof. Petrakos, Prof. Psicharis, Mr Kallioras, Mr Topaloglou, Prof. Fotopoulos and Prof. Rovolis. pA seminar program is realized by PhD candidates in the period March-June 2005, one lecture every month.
pThe Department of Trade and Marketing of the Academy of Economics of the University of Poznan in Polland, has invited Theodoros Metaxas as a guess speaker, to participate to the Conference Territorial Marketing, Application Possibilities, and Development Trends. The paper that he presented was titled 'Market Research and Target Market Segmentation in Place Marketing procedure: a structural analysis' and has been published both in English and Polish.
